The idea was conceived as a marketplace to democratise access to legal services — connecting individuals and businesses with the right lawyers, based on case type, location, specialty, and peer reviews. The platform needed to serve two very different users simultaneously: clients seeking representation, and lawyers seeking cases.
Business Challenge
Legal communication requires a higher bar for confidentiality than a typical marketplace. All case data, attorney-client messages, and personally identifiable information had to be encrypted, compliant with legal privacy standards, and completely isolated per user. Balancing that security requirement with an intuitive UX for non-technical users was the central design challenge.
Solution Delivered
BloomEx built the full web and mobile platform over 9 months: lawyer search with advanced filters (specialty, location, experience, ratings), detailed lawyer profiles, a case-posting system where lawyers can bid on cases, end-to-end encrypted messaging, and a post-case review and rating system. The platform scaled on AWS and was tested against growing simultaneous user loads throughout development.
